In the hills, in the south of the region Auvergne, close to the spring of the River Loire, la Chaumière d'Alambre is an authentic 19th century thatched cottage nestled in the village of Moudeyres. Its southern position and its medium altitude (1175m - 3000feet) will enable you to enjoy warm and sunny summers.
The traditional architecture and the thatched roof were kept after recent restoration. If you wish we can show you the techniques used during renovation.
Many outdoor activities are available in close proximity of the "gîtes": trout fishing, mushroom or bilberry picking, mountain-biking, cross-country skiing, and of course hill-walking.
In the village you can visit the 18th century farm of the Perrel brothers which has been authentically restored and you may come across local breeds of sheep and cattle.
The 4 "gîtes" are ideal for groups of friends or large families.
